About Zakaria
Zakaria Sherbiny is the founder and principal of First Rodeo Coaching.
He designs and leads programs that strengthen organizations and the people within them. With a background in education, people leadership, operations, community engagement and organizational development, Zakaria focuses on building aligned, high-functioning teams in mission-driven environments.
A certified executive coach and former teacher and school leader, Zakaria has served as an instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University and the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. He was also selected to coach for the Professional Athlete Community (PAC), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Association for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE), and the National Black MBA Association.
Zakaria holds an M.Ed. in Human Development & Psychology from Harvard University, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Virginia. With over 500 coaching hours, he is also credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation.
Zakaria lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and their dog, Glenn.
